We believe every farm animal deserves a life free from neglect and fear. At Wild Wind, that means clean shelter, full feed bins, attentive medical care, and the kind of daily presence that lets an animal finally relax.
A day at Wild Wind
What care actually looks like.
Every day at the sanctuary starts the same way: feeding rounds, health checks, and a walk of the fences and shelters. Animals who need medication get it. Coats get brushed. Water troughs get filled. It is steady, unglamorous, essential work — and it happens seven days a week, every week of the year.
Morning feeding
Each animal receives species-appropriate feed on a consistent schedule.
Health checks
Daily observation catches changes early. Medications are administered as needed.
Grooming
Brushing, hoof care, and hands-on time that builds trust and keeps animals comfortable.
Facility upkeep
Fences, shelters, and pastures are checked and maintained to keep everyone safe.
